Multiple ISO Standards progress through revision stage

Several ISO management system standards are progressing through revision stages ahead of planned 2026 updates. The changes reflect evolving expectations around governance, risk, and sustainability, with organizations beginning to prepare for upcoming transitions. 

ISO 22000 revision advances to public enquiry stage

The revision of ISO 22000 is progressing to the public enquiry stage, marking a key step toward an updated food safety management standard. The changes will be incorporated into a draft for review, with further development continuing through 2026. 

Canada updates Organic Certification Standard

Canada has released an updated version of its national organic standard, introducing revised requirements for certification. Certification bodies and operators will need to align with the updated criteria as the changes are implemented. 

IAQG introduces centralized auditor authentication model

IAQG has introduced a new centralized authentication model for aerospace auditors, replacing existing regional approaches. The initiative aims to improve global consistency and standardization across the certification scheme, with implementation planned throughout 2026. 

BSI publishes revised standard for investigation of contaminated land

BSI has released BS 10175:2026, the first full revision of its contaminated land investigation standard since 2011. The updated guidance introduces new approaches for assessing emerging pollutants and strengthens sustainability and risk-based practices in site investigations. 

IAAC launches award for women leaders in conformity assessment 

IAAC has launched a new award to recognize female leadership in accredited conformity assessment bodies across the Americas and the Caribbean. The initiative highlights contributions to technical competence, innovation, and the development of the accreditation ecosystem.
