ISO 19011:2026 published, replacing 2018 edition

ISO has published the fourth edition of ISO 19011, its guidelines for auditing management systems, replacing the 2018 version. The update strengthens guidance for auditing in modern contexts—including remote audits, digital technologies, and complex supply chains—without fundamentally changing the audit process itself. As a guidance standard, it takes effect immediately with no transition period.

IAQG launches Audit Preparation Report within OASIS Insights

IAQG has introduced the Audit Preparation Report, a new feature within its OASIS Insights platform powered by Intact that consolidates audit history, trend analysis, and key performance indicators to support preparation for upcoming AS9100-series audits. The report is accessible in real time to suppliers, auditors, and certification bodies, and is designed to reduce preparation time while supporting more consistent audit outcomes.

DEKRA Certification Inc. receives A2LA accreditation for field evaluation services

DEKRA Certification Inc. has been accredited by A2LA as a third-party inspection body under ISO/IEC 17020:2012, covering field evaluation services for electrical equipment in the U.S. The accreditation enables DEKRA to assess modified or custom-built electrical equipment on-site where standard certification pathways may not apply.

TIC Council held TIC Summit 2026 in Brussels

The TIC Council’s annual summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and the quality infrastructure community to examine the role of testing, inspection, and certification amid reindustrialization, digital transformation, and evolving trade requirements. Stefan Haas, CEO of TÜV AUSTRIA, was elected as the new TIC Council President.

Kiwa and Siemens BeLux partner on industrial cybersecurity and compliance

Kiwa has announced a strategic partnership with Siemens BeLux to help industrial organizations navigate OT cybersecurity, functional safety, and compliance with European regulations including NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act, and the AI Act. The collaboration combines Kiwa’s certification and conformity assessment capabilities with Siemens’ industrial digitalization expertise, with Kiwa maintaining its independent role as a certification body.
