Disaster Recovery Management Process
We at Intact, together with our hosting partners Anexia, strive to provide maximum data security and uptime for our customers. For the unlikely case of an event beyond our control, during which one of our servers is rendered unavailable, we have a comprehensive disaster recovery management process in place. Learn about how Intact’s disaster recovery measures safeguard your valuable data:
Cold Standby
Our default disaster recovery option is “Cold Standby”. For the Cold Standby process, snapshots of our virtual servers are taken every night and transferred to an Anexia data center. They are stored on a designated backup space by means of Veeam Backup.
In case of a disaster, the backup data is recovered and the IP address is rerouted to the backup location. The RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is less than six hours.
Hot Standby
For customers with higher RTO requirements, we offer a premium option which is called “Hot Standby”. For the Hot Standby process, customer data is replicated to a live backup server every 15 minutes by SQL log shipping and Veeam Replication.
In case of an incident, the IP address is rerouted to the backup server immediately and the RTO is less than 15 minutes.
Disaster Recovery Tests
To optimize our disaster recovery management process, Intact and Anexia conduct regular disaster recovery tests. Within an isolated environment, our backup servers are thoroughly tested on functionality and connectivity.
This is also a part of our ISO 9001/27001 certification commitments.
